Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the Vintage Value Service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Vintage Value.

2. Description of the Service

Vintage Value provides AI-assisted identification and pricing research for antiques, vintage items, and collectibles. The Service is a research aid intended to support your own judgement — it does not constitute professional appraisal, legal, financial, or investment advice. All estimates and identifications are provided on an informational basis only.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Your account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
• You may not share your account with others or create accounts for the purpose of abuse or circumventing limits.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Upload content that is infringing, defamatory, fraudulent, or that you do not have the right to share.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service without our prior written consent.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Service or its related systems.

6. Content you submit

You retain ownership of the photos and data you submit. By uploading content, you grant Vintage Value a limited licence to process and display that content solely as necessary to provide the Service. You represent that you have the rights to upload any content you submit. We may remove content that violates these Terms without notice.

7. AI-generated results & disclaimer

Identification candidates and pricing estimates are generated by AI models and aggregated market data. They are provided for informational and research purposes only. Vintage Value makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any result. You assume all risk associated with reliance on AI-generated content. We strongly recommend verifying important findings through independent sources before making purchasing decisions.

8. Intellectual property

All rights in the Service — including its design, software, branding, and proprietary models — are owned by or licensed to Vintage Value. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use our trademarks, logos, or proprietary technology outside of the Service itself.

9. Fees & billing

Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription. Fees, billing cycles, and cancellation terms will be presented clearly before any charge. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated in our refund policy. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to other users or the Service. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vintage Value shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction therein.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or a notice within the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
